Sierra Vista pounced on visiting Clark early, and never let up in a 49-14 victory to improve to 2-0 in league play Saturday afternoon.

The Mountain Lions scored on nearly every possession in the first half, enacting a running clock for the entire second half. Their passing game continued to progress, with senior quarterback Trevor Gentner finding senior receiver Kevin McCray for a pair of early touchdowns.

The rushing game took over from there, with nearly every player who carried the ball finding the end zone at some point. Isaiah Zavala, Tristen Jiminez, Kaika Faatiliga and Taelase Gaoteote all scored rushing touchdowns.

The defense also got in on the rout, as Jassiah Maiava returned a fumble for a score.
