Letters to the Editor:

Thank goodness ACA survived

Tonight, in my Henderson living room, I watched live the Senate’s vote on the partial repeal of the Affordable Care Act. I am relieved that it did not pass.

Thank you, Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto, D-Nev., for your “no” vote. Sen. Dean Heller, R-Nev., please do your part to in bringing the Senate to regular order.

To all Nevadans serving in Congress, resist any urge to succumb to the divisive tactics supported by the current president. Be reasonable, be listeners, be brainstormers. Keep the children of Nevada in the front of your minds and push aside the special interests and the protection of the wealthy.

Everyone needs access to health care. Thank goodness ACA was not repealed. Even with its flaws, it saves lives.
