A community health fair featuring medical screenings and fitness activities will be held Saturday in the eastern Las Vegas Valley.
Volunteers in Medicine of Southern Nevada is sponsoring the “Get Fit Family Fun Day Community Health Fair,” along with Metro Police and the Safety Through Outreach and Prevention (STOP) Coalition.
The fair will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Paradise Recreation Center, 4775 McLeod Drive. All ages are welcome, especially children and families living in the neighborhood, patients of the medical clinic at Paradise Park and regular patrons of the Paradise Recreation Center.
Twenty-five vendors will be on site, providing free medical screenings, healthy food, fitness activities and sports and dance classes.
Volunteers in Medicine of Southern Nevada staff also will be on hand to help link fair attendees with health care options in the community.
The health fair is free.
