Police: Man dead in 4-vehicle crash might have had medical episode

A four-vehicle crash in which one man was pronounced dead Tuesday night may have been the result of a medical episode, Metro Police said.

The collision happened about 7:15 p.m. when a Chevrolet Monte Carlo rear-ended a BMW 740 stopped at a red light on southbound Hinson Street at West Charleston Boulevard, police said.

The Chevrolet went into the intersection and hit a westbound Toyota 4Runner, which overturned and collided with a Nissan Sentra, police said.

The driver of the Chevrolet, a 62-year-old Las Vegas man, was pronounced dead at University Medical Center. Police said they would not count his death as a traffic fatality until the coroner determines if he suffered a medical episode.

Nobody else was seriously hurt, police said.
