Two suspects arrested in connection to Pahrump home invasion; third still sought

Two men were arrested Saturday in Pahrump after they broke into a home and robbed two elderly people and their disabled daughter at knifepoint.

According to a Nye County Sheriff's Office news release, police received a call from an 80-year-old resident reporting that two suspects had broke into his home through a window about 1:30 a.m. The resident, his 75-year-old wife and their 49-year-old disabled daughter were held at knifepoint while being robbed of cash, valuables and collectables.

The two suspects found the victims sleeping, assaulted them and forced the elderly man from one room into another so he could open a safe holding cash and valuables, according to the release. The other suspect held the two female victims at knifepoint and injured the disabled daughter when she tried to get off the bed. The suspects then tied the three victims up and threatened them, telling them not to call the police, before fleeing the home, the release said.

Saturday afternoon, Nye County Street Crimes deputies and detectives conducted a routine traffic stop on a suspicious vehicle in Beatty. During the traffic stop, deputies found marijuana and a large amount of the reported stolen goods. Carl Fort, 22, and Shaun Neubert, 20, were questioned, and Neubert admitted to being one of the suspects and said Fort was his partner. Neubert listed a third accomplice, William Jones, 40, of Pahrump. Jones was the getaway driver after the robbery, according to the release.

Fort and Neubert were arrested and booked on several charges, including home invasion with a deadly weapon on an older person, conspiracy to commit burglary, possessions of stolen property and assault with a deadly weapon.

Nye County police are still looking for Jones.
