ONTARIO, Calif. — A United Airlines flight from Los Angeles to Washington, D.C., was diverted to another Southern California airport Thursday morning due to an unspecified emergency.
Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Ian Gregor says United Flight 1181 from LAX to Dulles International Airport landed "without incident" at Ontario International Airport, about 40 miles east of downtown Los Angeles.
The Boeing 757 took off at 8:25 a.m. and Gregor says it landed around 9 a.m.
United did not immediately return a call for comment on the nature of the problem.
