Moapa resident killed after being ejected from car in rollover accident

A 35-year-old man died and another man was arrested on a DUI charge after a car accident on Glendale/Moapa Road early Saturday, the Nevada Highway Patrol said.

Moapa resident David Lee was pronounced dead on scene after being ejected from a car west of mile marker 18 about 1:20 a.m.

Lee was not wearing a seatbelt, the NHP said.

Troopers said 26-year-old Vincent Bushhead was driving a white 1992 BMW coupe eastbound on Glendale/Moapa Road, also known as State Route 168, when the car entered the westbound lanes.

Bushhead, a Moapa resident, overcorrected and lost control of the car, which rotated and ran off the side of the road, Nevada Highway Patrol said. The car rolled over and hit an embankment, coming to a stop on its wheels.

Bushhead and a 19-year-old male passenger were transported to University Medical Center.

Bushhead was booked into the Clark County jail on multiple charges, including DUI resulting in death and failure to drive on the right side of the road, the NHP said.

This was the fourth fatal crash investigated by the NHP's Southern Command this year.
