Former UNLV football coach Bobby Hauck has a new gig.

Hauck, who went 14-58 in five seasons at UNLV and resigned in November, was announced today as the special teams coordinator at San Diego State.

Hauck led UNLV to seven wins in 2013 and its first bowl appearance since 2000. He also coordinated UNLV’s special teams.

He’s the second former UNLV head coach on the San Diego State staff. Jeff Horton, who coached UNLV from 1994 to 1998, is the Aztecs’ offensive coordinator.

Other members of Hauck’s UNLV staff have also found work. Offensive coordinator Timm Rosenbach is the head coach at Adams State, a Division II program in Colorado. He hired former UNLV player and graduate assistant Jay Staggs as his defensive coordinator.

Wide receivers coach Cedric Cormier was the lone holdover from Hauck’s staff to stay with new UNLV coach Tony Sanchez.
