Woman accused of killing man in murder-suicide is identified

A woman whose body was found Thursday in the garage of a southwest valley residence with the body of a man she allegedly killed has been identified as 23-year-old Jiyeon Lee, according to the Clark County Coroner's Office.

The bodies of Lee and 26-year-old Las Vegas resident Won Jae Lee were discovered in the garage of a residence in the 8900 block of Veneroso Street, near Fort Apache and Pebble roads, Metro Police said.

Jiyeon Lee, a Nevada resident, died of a gunshot wound to the head in a suicide, the Coroner's Office said.

Her city of residence was not immediately available.

Won Jae Lee died of gunshot wounds to the head and neck, and his death was ruled a homicide, the Coroner's Office said.

Metro Police said the two were believed to be dating and appear to have gotten into a physical fight in the house before moving into the garage.

Jiyeon Lee then shot Won Jae Lee before killing herself, police said.

Concerned friends who checked up on the couple later called police, Metro Lt. W. Graham said.
