Jerramy Stevens, the husband of U.S. women’s soccer goalkeeper Hope Solo, walks out of Kirkland Municipal Court Monday, June 23, 2014, in Kirkland, Wash. Solo appeared in court in connection with her arrest for domestic violence Saturday in Kirkland.

MANHATTAN BEACH, Calif. — Former Seattle Seahawks tight end Jerramy Stevens — the husband of U.S. goalkeeper Hope Solo — has been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence in Southern California.

The Manhattan Beach Police Department says the former NFL player was stopped at about 1:30 a.m. Monday for driving without his vehicle's headlights turned on.

Officer Stephanie Martin says Solo was in the car but was not arrested or detained.

A statement from police Tuesday says Stevens, of Kirkland, Washington, was released with a citation to appear in Los Angeles Superior Court in March.

Solo had domestic violence assault charges against her dismissed earlier this month. She was facing two misdemeanor counts stemming from an altercation with her half-sister and 17-year-old nephew at a party in June.
