The son of Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy was arrested over the weekend, records show.

Clark County jail records show Cliven Lance Bundy, 35, was arrested Sunday on two counts of violating probation conditions and one count of criminal contempt. Two of the charges stem from an April 2012 conviction for burglary and weapons charges.

Bundy, 35, has upcoming appearance at Las Vegas Justice Court at 9:30 a.m. Thursday.

Federal Bureau of Land Management officials released a statement saying a ranger checking off-road vehicles for permits at Jean Dry Lake arrested Bundy driving a commercial tour group vehicle.

A public defender who previously represented Bundy didn’t immediately respond to messages.

The elder Bundy became a symbol for resisting authority after armed supporters faced off with federal agents in April to end a BLM roundup of his cattle.

He said today he’s been trying to help his son but hasn’t heard from him since the holidays.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.
