About 850 customers in the eastern valley are affected by a power outage this evening, according to NV Energy.
The outage, which was reported at about 6 p.m., is in the area of Russell and Sandhill roads.
Power to the traffic lights at Sunset Road and McCloud Drive has been knocked out, according to police scanner communications. The outage is causing major traffic delays at the intersection, police said.
NV Energy is en route to the location.
