Nevada attorney general convening law enforcement summit

CARSON CITY — Newly elected Attorney General Adam Laxalt is calling a law enforcement summit to lean how his office can better assist fighting crime in Nevada.

Laxalt has invited sheriffs, police chiefs and district attorneys to his Carson City office on Feb. 5 to share their priorities and identify what law enforcement issues should be pressed in the 2015 Legislature.

Because these local officials are on the front lines in fighting crime, Laxalt said in his invitation letter, “I will continue to lean on you for evaluations on the ground in the coming years.”
