Man, 62, killed while crossing Boulder Highway in Henderson

A 62-year-old man was hit and killed by a car while crossing Boulder Highway on Sunday morning.

The man was struck around midnight by a 2003 Volkswagen Jetta while walking in the left travel lane outside of a marked crosswalk, according to a Henderson Police press release.

The driver stayed on scene and was not injured.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. A preliminary investigation indicated that alcohol and drugs do not appear to be factors in the crash, according to the press release.
