Metro Police are searching for a driver they say hit a pedestrian near the Palms this morning and left the scene.
Officers responded about 3:10 a.m. to reports that a man had been hit by a car while crossing Flamingo Road at Wynn Road in a marked crosswalk, police said.
The man was hit by a car that turning left onto eastbound Flamingo Road from Wynn Road, police said.
He was taken to University Medical Center with injuries that were serious but not life-threatening, police said.
Flamingo Road was closed for three hours but it has since reopened.
The car involved was a dark, late model, four-door sedan, police said. It had chrome trim around the windows and a spoiler on the back, police said.
The incident remains under investigation.
