Woman, 92, dies four days after Henderson crash

A 92-year-old woman who was injured Sunday evening in Henderson during a two-vehicle crash died this morning, city officials said.

The accident happened about 6:45 p.m. Sunday on Lake Mead Parkway near Atlantic Avenue, according to a Henderson news release.

A 2006 Ford F-250 pickup truck tried to turn left from a private driveway onto eastbound Lake Mead Parkway, striking the right side of a 2000 Jeep Cherokee heading west, officials said.

The woman, who was a passenger in the Jeep, was transported to Sunrise Hospital & Medical Center with injuries originally believed to be nonlife-threatening.

The Clark County Coroner’s Office will release her identity and official cause of death once next of kin has been notified.

The Jeep driver was transported with nonlife-threatening injuries, officials said.

Police do not believe alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash.

The female driver of the Ford has been charged with vehicular manslaughter, officials said.

This is the third traffic-related death in Henderson this year, officials said.
