Kitchen fire at northeast valley mobile home displaces 6

A kitchen fire broke out in a northeast valley mobile home this afternoon, displacing three adults and three children, according to the Clark County Fire Department.

Eight units from the department responded about 3:45 p.m. after receiving a report of a fire at 3755 N. Nellis Blvd., near Las Vegas Boulevard North, Deputy Fire Chief Jeff Buchanan said in a statement.

Light smoke was visible from the mobile home, and crews kept the fire largely contained to the kitchen, Buchanan said.

No injuries were reported in the incident, and the structure was not a total loss, he said.

The American Red Cross of Southern Nevada responded to the scene to help the displaced residents.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
