The Clark County Coroner’s Office has identified a man who died in a double shooting at a valley apartment complex Thursday morning as Arnoldo Hermosillo, 25, of Las Vegas.
Hermosillo died of a gunshot wound to the abdomen, according to the coroner. His death was ruled a homicide.
The shooting happened about 5:30 a.m. in the 4600 block of Vegas Drive, near Decatur Boulevard, Metro Police said.
A second male victim was taken to University Medical Center with a gunshot wound, Metro Officer Larry Hadfield said.
Hadfield said a suspect in the shooting was involved in a nearby barricade situation in the 1700 block of Yellow Rose Street hours later. The 30-year-old suspect was taken into custody Thursday afternoon, he said.
It was not immediately known whether the suspect was still being held.
