Here’s the latest installment of the Play of the Day, which uses odds from the South Point. Our three sports writers started with a $10,000 bankroll — fictional, of course.
Seattle Mariners (minus-102) at Los Angeles Angels: $306 to win $300
This doesn’t feel like a very good number to get for the Mariners playing at the Angels, but with Los Angeles already in the playoffs and Seattle still chasing a spot, the game clearly means more to one side than the other.
Mariners starting pitcher James Paxton has been solid with a 1.83 ERA in limited action this season. He’s been a regular in the rotation since early August and has yet to give up more than two runs during that time.
I’d recommend this game a lot more at a better price. Still, I think I’m on the right side.
