Car with right of way kills bicyclist, North Las Vegas Police say

A bicyclist was killed Saturday morning after being hit by a car in North Las Vegas.

The man was riding his bike west on Lake Mead Boulevard just after 7 a.m. when he collided in an intersection with a Honda sedan traveling south on 5th Street, according to North Las Vegas Police. Police say the sedan had the right of way.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene, NLVPD Officer Chrissie Coon said. The driver of the sedan, a 55-year-old North Las Vegas woman, was not injured.

The crash is under investigation, and it's unknown at the moment whether the woman will face charges, Coon said.
