A homeless woman is in custody after shooting a man to death in his Las Vegas home Wednesday evening, according to Metro Police.
Metro officers responded to reports of shots fired about 6 p.m. at a home on the 1200 block of Franklin Drive, near Maryland Parkway and Charleston Boulevard, Lt. Barb Schmidt said.
The woman, who apparently was allowed to sleep in the backyard, walked into the home, took the resident's gun and shot him in the chest, Schmidt said.
The man was rushed to University Medical Center, where he later died. The woman is in custody.
