The Legacy High football team committed four turnovers through three quarters today against host Shadow Ridge.
But the Longhorns figured it out in the fourth quarter, using touchdowns D’Angelo Lindsey and DeMichael Walker in a 14-6 victory to grab the Southwest League’s No. 3 seed for the playoffs.
“It’s been like that all season with the turnovers,” Legacy coach John Isola said. “It’s the No. 1 stat in the game. If you turn the ball over, you are going to lose.”
Legacy plays at Centennial next week in the Sunset Regional quarterfinals. Earlier this season, Centennial beat Legacy 47-13.
“We are a young team and we are still growing,” Isola said. “It’s a tall task against Centennial. They are a good team.”
