Rap executive Marion "Suge" Knight was arrested in Las Vegas today in connection with the robbery of a photographer's camera last month, the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office said.

Knight, 49, and comedian Micah "Katt" Williams, 43, were arrested on one count each of robbery in connection with an incident outside of a Beverly Hills studio, according to a press release from the LA district attorney's office.

Williams was arrested in Inglewood this morning when he arrived at a courthouse to appear on separate charges of assault, the release said.

Knight, who is currently in custody at the Clark County Detention Center, faces up to a lifetime prison sentence, and bail has been set at $1 million, the release said.

He has a prior conviction for assault with a deadly weapon, the release said.

Metro Police said Knight was staying at a property in the resort corridor near Koval Lane and Harmon Avenue. Detectives booked him on a fugitive warrant and a warrant for driving with a suspended license, Metro Police said in a statement.

Detectives and Agents from the Criminal Apprehension Team Joint Task Force took him into custody, Metro Police said. The CAT force includes FBI, Metro Police and Henderson Police officers.

Williams faces up to seven years, and his bail has been set at $75,000, the LA release said.

Knight, the former CEO of Death Row Records, worked with rappers including Tupac Shakur, Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg in the 1990s.

In September 1996, he was driving the car in which Shakur was gunned down in Las Vegas.

Knight is also a former UNLV football player.
