Pedestrian hit in street, suffers minor injuries

A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle in the eastern valley this morning, Metro Police reported.

The man was outside a crosswalk about 6:15 a.m. when he was hit near South Hollywood Boulevard and East Sahara Avenue, Metro Lt. Patrick Charoen said.

The man was transported to University Medical Center with minor injuries, Charoen said.

There were no street closures because of the accident, and the driver was not cited, Charoen said.
