Man, 44, found dead at Henderson homeless camp

Detectives are investigating the death of a 44-year-old man whose body was found Thursday night at a Henderson homeless camp where he was staying, police said.

The body was found about 7:30 p.m by two acquaintances of the man at the camp in the desert near Lake Mead Parkway and Warm Springs Road, Henderson Police said. He appears to have died from blunt-force trauma, police said.

An autopsy will be conducted by the Clark County Coroner’s Office, which will determine the cause of death and release the man’s name once his family has been notified, officials said.

Henderson Police ask that anyone with information call police at 702-267-4750 or to remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555 or online at crimestoppersofnv.com.
