Pedestrian bridge work to close Lamb Boulevard overnight

Las Vegas officials have announced that Lamb Boulevard will be closed Thursday and Friday because of construction of the pedestrian bridge.

Lamb will be closed to all pedestrian and vehicular traffic between Washington and Owens avenues beginning at 9 p.m. Thursday to 5 a.m. Friday.

The pedestrian bridge is part of Phase 2 of the trail construction process that runs with the Las Vegas Wash. The $2.7 million project includes construction of the steel and concrete pedestrian bridge across Lamb Boulevard as well as other trail improvements. Work is expected to be completed by the end of the year.

Nellis Boulevard or Pecos Road are recommend alternate routes during the closure.
