A child was hospitalized this morning after being hit by a driver arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, according to Metro Police.
A small truck hit the boy, whose age was not released, about 6:30 a.m. in the 1400 block of Jones Boulevard, police said.
He was taken to University Medical Center with a non-life-threatening head injury, police said.
The boy was conscious at the time, Officer Jose Hernandez said.
The truck driver remained on scene, Hernandez said.
