Police: Telephone Man robber strikes again

An armed robber who Metro Police call the Telephone Man has struck again.

He has robbed four more wireless phone businesses since Friday, police said. He was dubbed the Telephone Man after, police said, he robbed a series of phone businesses starting in September.

The man robbed another phone business Friday evening in the area of Pecos Road and Washington Avenue and hit three more businesses the next day, police said.

His latest robbery was about 6:45 p.m. Saturday in the northwest valley, near Craig Road and Decatur Boulevard.

The man typically walks into a store pretending to be a customer before displaying a handgun and demanding money, police said. He is Hispanic, about 20 to 30 years old and has black hair, a mustache, brown eyes and a tattoo of an eagle on his upper left arm.
