Economist Paul Krugman posses credentials that earn his progressive opinions consideration. However, Mr. Krugman fails us by so broadly condemning conservatives. Neither movement has a firm grip on the answers. Every major urban area either run exclusively by progressives or conservatives has similar problems with homelessness, poverty, minority employment, etc.
It would be productive to stop vilifying the differences and support our representatives in debating these contentious divisions in the forum so intelligently designed for them.
