Misinterpreting Pelosi’s comments

The Sept. 24 column by Tom Keane “Is this the end of civilization?” is a leap into nonsense from comments made by Nancy Pelosi on “Real Time with Bill Maher.”

First — get a grip, Tom — it’s a comedy show. She did not equate Republicans to murderous thugs who behead people. That was the stunningly ridiculous conclusion Keane drew from Maher’s question “This and ISIS are threatening civilization?”
