Let judge pay for own imprisonment

Family Court Judge Steven Jones is probably going to prison after pleading guilty in a federal fraud case.

He will probably receive retirement benefits paid by taxpayers. His prison room and board will also be paid by taxpayers, according to all that I’ve read about it.

This should be changed.

There should be legislation that requires every prisoner to pay for room, board, medical expenses, laundry, etc., if that person has an income exceeding a certain amount or assets in excess of a certain amount.

What a great way to increase the funds available to governments to assist people in need or who have been the victims of the person who is incarcerated!
