A kitchen fire in a single-wide mobile home displaced two people and caused about $8,000 in damage this morning, Clark County fire officials said.

The Clark County Fire Department responded to a report of a kitchen fire about 10:30 a.m. at 1624 Palm Street, near U.S. 95 and East Charleston Boulevard, Assistant Fire Chief Sandra Baker said.

Fire investigators believe there were too many appliances plugged in and were able to contain the fire within minutes, Baker said.

No injuries were reported.

Two adults were displaced and are being assisted by the American Red Cross of Southern Nevada, Baker said.
