A man died this morning in a single-car rollover crash in the north valley.

A gold Saturn sedan was merging from Interstate 15 South onto the westbound 215 Beltway near the Las Vegas Motor Speedway about 9 a.m. when the accident occurred, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.

The car, which witnesses reported was driving recklessly, overturned on the connecting ramp and landed along the dirt shoulder, Trooper Chelsea Stuenkel said.

The driver, a man in his 60s, was pronounced dead at the scene, she said.

No other vehicles appeared to have been involved, and there were no other passengers in the car, Stuenkel said.

The ramp was closed until about 1:20 p.m., Stuenkel said.
