2 Henderson residents get sentences for synthetic drug business

Two men and one woman that were involved in a synthetic drug distribution were sentenced Monday morning.

Joshua Micheal Riley, 32, of Henderson was sentenced to 51 months in prison and three years of supervised release. Nicholas Collado, 32, of Houston, Texas, was sentenced to 37 months in prison and three years of supervised released and Alexandra Haaardt, 28, of Henderson, was sentenced to three year of probation with a condition of one year of home confinement.

According to the court records, Riley owned and operated JMR Enterprises in Las Vegas. The defendants would order chemicals from China, and manufacture controlled substances, spice and bath salts, at Riley's residence in Las Vegas. The defendants would then sell the substances online at the website, thesupplyboys.com, using brand names. Oder were distributed in overnights delivery on a regular basis to places as far as Philadelphia, Pa.

In July 2012, agents executed a federal search warrants at Riley's home where they uncovered 26 pounds of synthetic cannabinoids, also known as spice, and six pounds of synthetic cathinones known as "bath salts". There was 47 packages of "spice" discovered in the mail, and also two firearms.

The three defendants pleaded guilty over the summer to one count of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute a controlled substance.

U.S. District Judge Jennifer A. Dorsey also convicted the three of forfeiture, requiring them to turn over approximately $802,000 in bank accounts, $371,000 in gold and silver bars and coins, $32,000 in money order and checks, $14,700 in jewelry, a Cadillac vehicle, a condo in Henderson, and two handguns and ammunition.

Two other defendants were also charged in the conspiracy. Marco Alvarado pleaded guilty and was sentenced on Nov. 12 to 30 months in prison, and Jacob Fisher pleaded guilt and is scheduled for sentencing on Nov. 19.
