Former baseball star Jose Canseco plays during Brad Garrett’s Maximum Hope Foundation Poker Tournament at the Tropicana on Sept. 17, 2011.

More bad news for Jose Canseco's finger: It fell off during a poker tournament Thursday night.

Canseco accidentally shot the finger Oct. 28 while cleaning a gun at his Las Vegas home. He was taken to University Medical Center, where doctors performed surgery to keep his finger attached.

Apparently, the procedure didn't hold up, as the former Major League Baseball legend took to Twitter on Friday to deliver this news:

According to Canseco, someone recorded a video of the incident and has already sold it to his agent. As for the finger, Canseco said he saw it coming:

On Saturday, Canseco tweeted a picture of the finger pre-tournament (warning: it's nasty) and began joking about it:

Get well soon, Jose Canseco's finger.
