Officers responded about noon Monday to a house in the 4900 block of Goldeneye Way near Camino Al Norte and Lone Mountain Road after a report of an unresponsive child, according to a North Las Vegas Police media release.

The boy was taken to University Medical Center Pediatrics in critical condition and was pronounced dead Thursday.

Detectives are investigating the death, but no charges have yet been filed, according to the release.

Officer Steven Wiese said police investigate all child deaths.

The child's identity and cause of death will be released by the Clark County Coroner's Office.
