A woman in a wheelchair was struck by a vehicle in North Las Vegas this afternoon, police said.
The pedestrian was hit at the intersection of Civic Center Drive and Las Vegas Boulevard North about 5:15 p.m., North Las Vegas Police Officer Steven Wiese said.
She was transported to University Medical Center with injuries that were not life threatening, he said.
It is unclear whether the pedestrian was in a crosswalk, but a preliminary investigation shows she was at fault, Wiese said.
The driver was not injured and has not been arrested, but an investigation is ongoing.
