letter to the editor:

The high cost of government debt

To the author of “We are no longer represented” (Oct. 8 Letters to the Editor):You are represented, you just vote for the wrong people. You mention families who lost jobs, face high medical debts, struggle to make ends meet and are being squeezed to death. It’s called too much debt, too many taxes, a government growing out of control.

You want the government to spend more for “infrastructure, jobs, education and research to build a build a strong country and a future for our children.” Are you kidding?

We as a nation have almost an $18 trillion national debt. Taxpayers last year paid almost $413 billion just in interest on the debt.

Our country is in great danger because we spend too much.

If you really care about the future for your children and grandchildren, then don’t back politicians who keep voting us to eventual bankruptcy.
