Updated Monday, Nov. 10, 2014 | 6:25 p.m.

A rider of a minibike has been transported to the hospital after a possible DUI crash with a motorcycle in the southwest valley this afternoon.

Nevada Highway Patrol received a report about 3:45 p.m. of a motorcyclist down at the intersection of Blue Diamond and Cimarron roads, Trooper Chelsea Stuenkel said.

She said the man was riding a 50cc minibike and was involved in a crash with a motorcycle.

The rider of the minibike, a 33-year-old man, was transported by air to University Medical Center's trauma center in nonlife-threatening condition, she said.

The motorcyclist was arrested on a DUI charge, she said.

Clark County Fire Department and NHP officials are on scene.

The intersection on Blue Diamond and Cimarron has been reopened, Stuenkel said.

Sun reporter Katie Visconti contributed to this report.
