letter to the editor:

It’s time to challenge beliefs

There are religious leaders who’ve espoused holy wars in the name of God. The one thing all faiths appear to agree on is that God is just. There is no one faith available around the world, hence people choose from what’s available where they’re born or adopt the faith of their parents. Would a just God condemn citizens for their chosen faith?

History should teach us not to put the blind faith which we put in God into religious leaders.

Is it fear of shaming our own faith that prevents us from challenging holy wars? I can’t envision a just God condoning such, much less suggesting such.

In your opinion, why do we fail to challenge such beliefs? Isn’t it time to shame them?
