A FedEx cargo plane made an emergency landing at McCarran International Airport this morning after the crew suspected a fire on board.
The MD-11 jet was flying from Ontario, Calif., to Memphis, Tenn., with three crew members on board when it was diverted to Las Vegas because of concerns of a possible fire in the cargo hold, airport spokeswoman Christine Crews said.
The plane landed at McCarran at 7:13 a.m., Crews said.
The crew stayed in the plane after it landed and used fire extinguishers in the cargo area, Crews said, though she could not say whether there was a fire.
No injuries were reported.
Clark County firefighters inspected the plane and cleared the scene at 7:55 a.m., Crews said. The plane was towed to the FedEx facility at the airport, she said.
