Suspect in Illinois slaying arrested in Las Vegas

A U.S. Marshals Service task force in Las Vegas has arrested a suspect in an Illinois slaying, officials said.

Turhan Robinson, 37, was wanted by the Madison Police Department in connection with a homicide and police chase, according to a news release.

The U.S. Marshals Fugitive Investigative Strike Team (FIST) apprehended Robinson on Thursday in the area of East Charleston Boulevard and Christy Lane. He was transported to the Clark County Detention Center, where he will remain pending extradition to Illinois, officials said.

The Nevada FIST task force brings together resources and members of local, state and federal agencies to arrest dangerous and violent fugitives.
