Police investigate shooting in central valley that leaves victim critical

Metro Police are investigating a shooting late Friday in the central part of the Las Vegas Valley.

Police responded at 10:42 p.m. to the scene near Pennwood Avenue and Valley View Boulevard, according to Lt. Roger Price. One man was transported to University Medical Center in critical condition, Price said.

The shooting remains under investigation, he said.
