Fatal crash

Metro Police are investigating a fatal crash between two cars that were speeding alongside each other on a city street in the northwest part of valley.

Officers are investigating whether the cars were drag racing when they collided Tuesday night, killing a 19-year-old man and critically injuring two others, KVBC-TV reports.

Police say a 2004 Infinity and 2013 Hyundai were speeding west on Twain Avenue as they approached Grand Canyon Drive just before 7 p.m. The Infinity clipped the Hyundai, causing both vehicles to spin out of control, strike a wall and a lamp post

The driver of the Hyundai was pronounced dead at the scene. The 18-year-old driver and 17-year-old passenger in the other car were reported in serious condition at University Medical Center.
