April 29 armed robbery

North Las Vegas Police are asking the public to help detectives identify two men wanted in connection with an armed robbery of a pharmacy last month.

On April 29, the suspects jumped the counter at a pharmacy in the 1800 block of East Lake Mead Boulevard and demanded money and pills, according to a North Las Vegas Police news release issued this afternoon. The men asked for painkillers and prescription stimulants by name, for example, Percocet, Xanex, Oxycodone and morphine, said Sgt. Chrissie Coon, a North Las Vegas Police spokeswoman.

One of the suspects pointed a firearm at a clerk before the men made their escape, according to the release.
The clerk was not injured.

Both suspects are believed to be 22-year-old black men, about 5-feet-8-inhes tall, according to police.

One of the men weighs about 165 pounds and was last seen wearing a black baseball hat, dark glasses, a dark letterman jacket with light sleeves, and dark jeans, according to the release.
The other suspect weighs 160 pounds and was last seen wearing a black hoodie with the words “Las Vegas” across the front, dark glasses, long black baggy shorts with white stripes on the sides, and black shoes, the release said.

Authorities urge anyone with information regarding the case to call North Las Vegas Police at (702) 633-9111 or to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at (702) 385-5555 or visit the Crime Stoppers website.
