The Las Vegas 51s beat the visiting Tacoma Rainiers 5-4 in 10 innings today in the final of a four-game Pacific Coast League series.
The 51s scored twice in the bottom of the 10th inning to win, using a game-ending RBI single from Zach Lutz to score pinch runner Kirk Nieuwenhuis. Allan Dykstra’s run-scoring double tied the game at 4.
Las Vegas led 3-0 entering the eighth inning, but Tacoma scored twice in the eighth and once in the ninth to force extra innings. The Rainiers took a 4-3 lead in its half of the 10th before the 51s rallied, taking three of four games in the series and improving to 28-11 on the season.

The 51s are off Wednesday. They start an eight-game road trip Thursday in El Paso.
