Shooting
A man is dead after an apparent shooting this evening near Owens and Eastern avenues, according to Metro Police.
The man, in his late 40s, was found dead behind the Americana Mart just after 8 p.m., Lt. John Liberty said.
Shell casings were found at the scene and homicide detectives have been called to investigate, Liberty said.
No suspects are in custody at this time.
