A speeding motorist died this morning after his SUV rolled over on Durango Drive in the western Las Vegas Valley.
Metro Police Lt. Michael Wallace said the man, 47, was already dead when officers responded to the wreck about 10:15 a.m. on Durango just south of Desert Inn Road. No one else was inside the SUV, and no other vehicles were involved in the crash.
The driver was not wearing a seat belt.
Desert Inn Road was shut down in both directions for several hours.
