Las Vegas is joining with Irish friends and turning the iconic "Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas" sign green in honor of St. Patrick's Day.
The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority and local officials say they changed the sign's yellow bulbs to green on Thursday, and will keep them until Tuesday.
The move is part of the 'Global Greening' initiative led by Tourism Ireland. Other landmarks that are going green for the holiday include the Leaning Tower of Pisa, Niagara Falls, the Sydney Opera House, the London Eye and the Pyramids of Giza.
