3 adults, 4 children escape house fire in North Las Vegas

Three adults and four children were displaced from their North Las Vegas house after it caught fire this morning.

The North Las Vegas Fire Department responded about 7:45 a.m. to the fire at 3405 Dillon Ave., near Pecos Road and East Lake Mead Boulevard.

Three adults and four children were in the house, but they were able to escape without any injuries, Fire Department Capt. Cedric Williams said.

Two of the adults were transported to University Medical Center as a precaution to make sure they weren’t suffering from smoke inhalation, he said.

Firefighters extinguished the blaze in about 10 minutes but not before the fire caused about $100,000 damage, Williams said.

Fire investigators ruled the fire accidental.
